Imagine for a moment; you are leaving a convention center or work after a long hard day. It is evening, all you can think about is getting back to your hotel room or home and getting on with your evening. On your way back something happens that you have never planned for, a hooded man quickly approaches you! Does he have something in his hand? What does he want? What is he going to do to me? Will I be ok?

Would you like to know the answers to these questions? Would you like to ensure that you make it back to your hotel or home safely and get on with your evening as planned? Enter the Self-Defense for Real People mini-course. Designed to teach you to be more aware of your surroundings, not look like a good target for a bad guy and if, God forbid, you do encounter violence, you act swiftly and decisively ensuring your own protection.

In this class we will discuss the reality of violence, postures and behaviors that make you look like someone an attacker won't want to attack and how to incapacitate ANY attacker quickly to ensure your safety and the safety of your friends and family.

The class is non-contact, part lecture part hands-on and all real-life application. Included will be daily self-defense drills you can use to improve your awareness and combat-readiness in just a few short minutes per week.

The course is taught by Brian Copeland, owner of Progressive Combat Systems. Brian trains people from all walks of life including kidnap defense/escape to international travelers, airplane defense to airlines pilots, defensive tactics to law enforcement, and martial arts/ self-defense to regular folks young and old. Despite the serious subject matter the class is taught in a light friendly environment.
